Gabrielle Carteris, also known as Gabrielle Anna Carteris, is very well known American actress. She took birth in Phoenix, Arizona to Marlene, a realtor and Ernest Carteris, a restaurant owner of Greek descent. She has a twin brother James and when she was just six months old, her parents separated. She, along with her brother, moved to San Francisco, California with her mother where she set up children’s clothing store. Gabrielle attended high school in Marin County, California and developed an interest in arts. So she started studying ballet and performing as a mime on a European tour. Gabrielle received her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College. She is of Jewish ancestry.
She got the role of studious school newspaper editor Andrea Zuckerman on Beverly Hills 90210. She became the host of her own tabloid talk show ‘Gabrielle’, which was aired for one season only. In 2003, Gabrielle Carteris appeared in the first season of the celebrity reality TV show ‘The Surreal Life’. In the video game ‘Marvel: Ultimate Alliance’, she gave her voice to Elektra.
Gabrielle Carteris married Charles Isaacs, a stock broker in 1992 and has two daughters Kelsey and Mollie with him. While shooting a TV movie in Vancouver in 2006, Gabrielle Carteris got injured which paralyzed her face and also affected her speech approximately for six months.

Gabrielle Carteris portrayed the character of Andrea Zuckerman on Beverly Hills 90210. She was the intelligent and sometime socially awkward editor of the school newspaper, the West Beverly Blaze. Andrea was politically and socially conscious and throughout the series’ run, she dealt with raging issues such as gender, race, class and politics etc. She was introduced in the first season of series and remained as a regular character till the fifth season of the show. She reprised her role in the later seasons of series at times. Her role of Andrea Zuckerman was one of the biggest and well liked roles of her acting career.
